Description:

This memorable par 3 hole presents different challenges from each tee.  The green has been lowered which makes the putting surface more visible from the tees and is moved further from the boundary fence on the left which makes the water hazard to be more in play.  New bunkers are strategically located on the left hand side of the green.

Strategy of Play: 

The green is undulating and quite large.  Mounds to the rear invite the player to hit the tee shot aggressively rather than worry too much about the ball overshooting the green to end in the deep hollow beyond.  A small fairway approach on the left provides a target for short hitters from the left-hand series of tees to be followed by a short but challenging chip or pitch to the putting surface. For most players, the safer shot is to aim for the middle of the green after which the challenge is to place the long, largely downhill putt as close as possible to the flag to achieve a very satisfying par. A word of advice, keep it dry at all cost.
