LOTUS COURSE

Lotus 1

Par: 5 - Index 17/18
  • Black Tee: 545 yards
  • Blue Tee: 535 yards
  • White Tee: 500 yards
  • Red Tee: 457 yards
Hole 1

DESCRIPTION

Lotus 1 is a medium-length Par 5 hole, slightly downhill from the tee, followed by crossing a gentle valley guarded by 2 fairway bunkers and a sizable pond on the right side near the rough area. The second shot requires an uphill approach, with a bunker positioned on the left side of the fairway. The putting green was slightly shifted and angled toward 2 green side bunkers flanking both sides of the green.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box – The center of the fairway, beyond the left bunker and the middle of the right bunker is a perfect landing zone for a tee shot. For an aggressive approach, target your shot across the bunker on the left to make a clear view of the green. Golfers with long drives may choose to reach the green in two shots. For a more cautious playing strategy, aim to the right-hand side bunker and lay-up with a long iron for the second shot to approach the green without blockage from the bunker.

To improve your chances of getting a birdie, steer clear of the treelines flanking the fairway.

Lotus 2

Par: 4 - Index 3/4
  • Black Tee: 438 yards
  • Blue Tee: 424 yards
  • White Tee: 367 yards
  • Red Tee: 348 yards
Hole 2

DESCRIPTION

The Lotus 2 features a lengthy Par 4 hole with a demanding tee shot that requires precise distance and direction accuracy. This is because of the two large bunkers on either side of the fairway and a pond directly behind the bunker on the right. The addition of the left-side bunker not only enhances the visual aspect but also serves to narrow the fairway, thereby increasing the level of difficulty. Furthermore, the greenside bunker has been expanded to capture any wayward shots aimed at the green. Additionally, the slope of the putting green has been adjusted to heighten the excitement and challenge of this exhilarating Par 4 hole.

 PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box - Aim for a short shot in front of the left bunker to ensure safety; however, you will need a fairway wood or a long iron to reach the green in two strokes. Alternatively, if you're feeling bold, you can drive your golf ball through the right fairway bunker for a chance to make an approach shot with the mid-iron, although be mindful of the pond situated behind the right bunker if you mishit to the right. If you decide to play it safe on the green, go for an additional shot.

Lotus 3

Par: 4 - Index 9/10
  • Black Tee: 375 yards
  • Blue Tee: 356 yards
  • White Tee: 337yards
  • Red Tee: 291 yards
Hole 3

DESCRIPTION

This Par 4 hole features a dogleg right, with a lake running along the entire right side from the tee to the green. On the left side, there are two enlarged bunkers that have encroached on the fairway, increasing the difficulty of this hole. Golfers need to choose clubs wisely to ensure a safe distance for the tee shot.

The green stretches from the back to the front and is protected by two bunkers on either side. Even though the green has been enlarged, providing a better opportunity for a two-stroke approach, the bunkers on both sides continue to present a considerable obstacle.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box - Aim between the two fairway bunkers using a driver or a 3-wood to land the ball perfectly for your second shot approach to the pin. Alternatively, you can opt for a safer play by laying up with a hybrid or a long iron, since the landing area for a driver is more challenging with the presence of two bunkers and a narrow fairway. It is necessary to execute a short to mid-iron shot accurately to reach the green in two strokes. To prevent landing in the water, avoid hitting slices or fades to the right of this hole, as the lake stretches from the tee to the green, and make sure to avoid hooking your ball as the out-of-bounds area extends to the left side of the cart path.

Lotus 4

Par: 5 - Index 7/8
  • Black Tee: 553 yards
  • Blue Tee: 541 yards
  • White Tee: 523 yards
  • Red Tee: 454 yards
Hole 4

DESCRIPTION

This Par 5 hole offers a fair challenge with it sundulating terrain, making it possible for long hitters to reach the green in two strokes. The tee shot must navigate a narrow fairway, flanked by bunkers on both sides and with the left tree line marking the out-of- boundary. A pond at the right end of the fairway extends into the green, posing a challenge for shots approaching from the right side.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box - The tee shot on this up-and-down hill Par 5 hole requires precision to avoid the trees flanking both sides, the OB on the left, and the treeline on the right that borders the fairway of hole 6. The wise strategy here is to prioritize accuracy over distance, which will set you up for a safe wedge approach shot to score a par or possibly a birdie. Golfers with powerful drives should be aware of the pond on the right side of the green if attempting to reach in two on. The green slopes from back to front and tilts towards the pond on the right, with a bunker located at the front left. The most effective strategy for the average player is a 3-on from the center-right of the fairway. It is crucial to steer clear of the bunker on the second landing spot, avoid overshooting, and stay away from the pond.

Lotus 5

Par: 3 - Index 15/16
  • Black Tee: 200 yards
  • Blue Tee: 168 yards
  • White Tee: 135 yards
  • Red Tee: 114 yards
Hole 5

DESCRIPTION

The scenic Par 3 hole highlights the varied landscape of the course, demanding golfers to make a precise tee shot over a large pond to reach the green. The green is strategically positioned at a lower elevation, providing better visibility from the tees and also making putting more challenging. Any short tee shots t or veer to the right will end up in the pond, while shots that stray to the left will have to contend with bunkers and out-of-bounds areas on the left side of the green, adding intricacy to this seemingly short hole.

Playing Strategy:

The undulating green is quite spacious, with mounds in the back that allow players to take a more aggressive tee shot without worrying about overshooting the green and landing in the deep hollow beyond. A narrow fairway on the left provides a good opportunity for short shots from the left tees but requires skillful technique for a chip or pitch approach to the pin. The safer choice for most golfers is to aim for the middle of the green. The difficult part comes from hitting a long, downhill putt as close to the pin as possible to secure a par. A helpful tip: Make every effort to keep your ball dry!

Lotus 6

Par: 4 - Index 1/2
  • Black Tee: 385 yards
  • Blue Tee: 375 yards
  • White Tee: 361 yards
  • Red Tee: 328 yards
Hole 6

DESCRIPTION

This medium-length Par 4 is both narrow and challenging, requiring accuracy as you drive your ball onto a small landing zone bordered by bunkers and tree lines. The green is protected by a bunker on the front left and another on the right, along with a hidden lake that encircles the left and back of the green.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box - Aim towards the middle of the fairway or slightly to the right of the bunker to gain an advantageous ball position for your second shot. Select a mid or short iron for your approach shot to ensure a safer play on the right side of the green, preventing the ball from veering left or overshooting the green. By using a long and high drive that can clear the trees on the left, you will set yourself up for a great opportunity with your next pitching shot, providing both distance advantage and a better chance to approach the pin for a birdie.

Lotus 7

Par: 4 - Index 11/12
  • Black Tee: 412 yards
  • Blue Tee: 400 yards
  • White Tee: 382 yards
  • Red Tee: 340 yards
Hole 7

DESCRIPTION

Lotus 7 features an exquisite Par 4 hole with a picturesque pond surrounding the tee box area. While the scenery is breathtaking, the hole poses a challenging test of accuracy for golfers looking to achieve a par score or better. The fairway is narrow, flanked by a large bunker on the left and a line of massive trees on the right, ready to catch any wayward shots. Despite the obstacles, aiming a tee shot towards the left is the recommended tactic to set up a more advantageous position for the approach to the green. Situated beyond the expansive lake, the green is shielded by bunkers on both front sides, enhancing the visual appeal without immediately affecting the approach shot.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box - Aim for the center left of the fairway in order to steer clear of the trees lining the right side. Also, adjust the attack angle towards the pin since there is a line of trees blocking the front. The approach shot to the green will require the use of a long or mid-iron. The selection of the appropriate club and aiming in the correct direction will have a significant impact on the score for this particular hole.

Lotus 8

Par: 4 - Index 5/6
  • Black Tee: 413 yards
  • Blue Tee: 376 yards
  • White Tee: 350 yards
  • Red Tee: 324 yards
Hole 8

DESCRIPTION

The stunning layout of the Lotus course is enhanced by a challenging Par 4 that slopes downhill. A lake on the right and lurking bunkers on the left pose challenges for any misdirected tee shots. Precision is key for the tee shot to land in the fairway, allowing for an easier approach to the green. However, caution is advised as the green is well-guarded by deep bunkers, particularly on the left side, making it very tough to execute recovery shots. Try to hit the ball onto the putting green in two shots, and if you can make two putts, you will end up with a satisfying par.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box - Aim straight down the middle of the fairway and and make an effort to avoid any errors, as hooks and slices will result in the ball landing in the bunkers. The putting green features intricate contours with gentle inclines that downslope on both sides, so it is advisable to approach the right third of the green to avoid the deep bunkers protecting the front left side of the green. By making two putts here, you will achieve a well-deserved par before moving on to the last hole of the Lotus Course.

Lotus 9

Par: 3 - Index 13/14
  • Black Tee: 195 yards
  • Blue Tee: 164 yards
  • White Tee: 142 yards
  • Red Tee: 137 yards
Hole 9

DESCRIPTION

Completing an outstanding nine-hole Lotus Course with a demanding Par 3, flanked by bunkers on either side and a pond in the front of tee box, is truly a perfect way to end the round. The excitement of making it to the green is invigorating, yet mishitting the wedge shot could lead to a disastrous score. Featuring an elevated green and a scenic view, this hole acts as a suitable ending that could significantly impact your overall score.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box - Make sure you have enough clubs for this particular hole. It is recommended to club up because of the elevated green. The challenge of this hole can be heightened depending on the wind, as precision is key in hitting the ball straight to the middle of the green to avoid the bunkers on either side.

The first hole of the Palm Course presents a challenging Par 4, serving as a psychological test for the entire round, evoking either excitement or frustration. The L-shaped left dogleg Palm 1 features a large pond stretching from the fairway to the green, creating a daunting tee-shot experience. Depending on the tee position, golfers may be required to hit over the pond towards the fairway to secure a more advantageous position for their second shot towards the green. Strategically placed bunkers make the approach to the green difficult for those who veer to the right. The green is flanked by bunkers on the left and lakes on the right, making the approach challenging, with even a minor mistake potentially resulting in a memorable disaster for the golfer.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box – A well-executed tee shot clearing the water is a must on this hole. While it can be nerve-wracking to hit over the water, for golfers with an average driving distance of 250 yards, this strategy is quite simple. Set up with a mid-iron for the second shot. If you're feeling uncertain, you can opt to aim for the right side of the fairway. Use a wood or long-iron to make your approach shot to the green. To achieve par, you can strategically plan your shots by executing layups with one chip and one putt.

Hole 3

DESCRIPTION

The drive shot must be precisely aimed slightly to the left to avoid the bunker and the trees on the right, which obstruct the approach to the green. The green area is relatively expansive, featuring a sloped and undulating surface with bunkers positioned on both sides.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box – Aim to the left center of the fairway, positioning your shot over the penalty area. For your second shot, use a short or mid-iron to approach the green. If you manage to land the ball on the green with two strokes, you will significantly enhance your chances of achieving a favorable score on this hole.

Palm 4

Par: 5 - Index 11/12
  • Black Tee: 515 yards
  • Blue Tee: 494 yards
  • White Tee: 457 yards
  • Red Tee: 409 yards
Hole 4

DESCRIPTION

The Par 5 hole features a dogleg bended to the left, providing an opportunity for long hitters to reach the green in just two strokes. The green is surrounded by a row of trees on the left side and bunkers on the right side. Although this Par 5 is relatively short, the landing zone on the fairway is notably narrow, with the out-of-bounds area extending to the left from the tee to the green. A long drive shot and hitting the fairway are key on this hole.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box – Use a driver to direct your shot toward the right side of the fairway. Long hitters can play the second shot onto the green or target the area in front of the greenside bunker, facilitating a simpler chip shot to the pin. The front of the green is guarded by a large, mature tree and flanked by bunkers; thus, it is advisable to take three strokes to reach the green and secure a par.

Palm 5

Par: 4 - Index 9/10

  • Blue Tee: 337 yards
  • White Tee: 322 yards
  • Red Tee: 272 yards
Hole 5

DESCRIPTION

Palm 5 is a dogleg right Par 4 and stands as the shortest hole on the course, where players can potentially reach the green with their tee shot. This hole presents a scoring opportunity for skilled golfers; however, it poses a challenge due to the narrow, which is obstructed by trees on both sides, making slice shots advantageous. Overall, it is a gentle hole that exudes low pressure.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box – If you possess confidence and can execute a high, straight drive, aim towards the pin, navigating through the trees on the right to secure an advantageous position on the fairway, ideally close to the pin. Conversely, if you're hesitant about cutting shot through the trees, aim left with a slight fade to safely land on the fairway, followed by a mid short-iron for your second shot. Subsequently, target the center of the green, as the green itself is relatively small, making the approach to the pin positions quite manageable.

Palm 6

Par: 4 - Index 1/2
  • Black Tee: 422 yards
  • Blue Tee: 400 yards
  • White Tee: 346 yards
  • Red Tee: 300 yards

The green area is long and narrow, encircled by three bunkers, demanding accuracy to prevent the ball from landing in a bunker.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box - Use a driver and aim slightly towards on the right side of the fairway. Subsequently, use a mid- or long-iron, targeting the center of the green, which is surrounded by bunkers on both sides. The green area is narrow, elongated, and sloped, presenting challenges for executing long putts.

Palm 7

Par: 4 - Index 5/6

  • Blue Tee: 369 yards
  • White Tee: 349 yards
  • Red Tee: 270 yards
Hole 7

DESCRIPTION

A ditch runs across the fairway, approximately 65 yards from the green. The green is encircled by bunkers on all sides. Having confidence is essential for conquering this hole.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box – Use a driver and direct your shot slightly to the left of the fairway to steer clear of the bunker and trees situated on the right, thereby enhancing your approach to the pin. • Blue Tee: 495 yards
  • White Tee: 470 yards
  • Red Tee: 432 yards
Hole 9

DESCRIPTION

Palm 9 features a challenging double dogleg that bends to the right. Long hitters can reach the green in two strokes, starting with a drive shot aimed between the fig trees and over the bunkers situated on the right side of the fairway. For the second shot, a wood club is recommended to launch the ball high enough to clear the trees on the right and land on the green. To ensure a manageable approach, golfers can opt for three shots to reach the green comfortably without pressure of executing a long drive. The tee shot should land to the left of or just ahead of the three bunkers located on the right side of the fairway. This strategy is crucial for setting up a successful second shot with a wood or long iron that lands safely in the fairway. Accurate pitching will facilitate a better chance of reaching the green. The two-tiered green features a notably steep back slope and is protected by a bunker that can intercept any over shots.

PLAYING STRATEGY

From the tee box - Aim to the left side of the fairway to steer clear of the bunkers lurking on the right. For your second shot, use a fairway wood or long iron, directing it to the left of the second landing area. Approach the green with caution on your third shot to ensure a safe and satisfying finish to your round.

Players can opt for shorter shots in front of the desert, targeting either side of the fairway, while those with longer distances can aim for the third segment of the fairway. This hole demands consideration and determination.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box - Aim your driver towards the left side of the fairway, targeting the area between the two white trees. Following that, use an iron to execute your second shot in front of the desert. PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box – Aim to the left side of the fairway to steer clear of the penalty area and bunkers situated on the right. Use long iron or fairway wood for your approach shot to the green. Executing a fade shot can be risky, so prioritize safety by concentrating on the left side of the green.

Golfers should not underestimate the shortness of the hole. The green is protected by a bunker on the left and in front.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box – Long hitters should aim towards the left side of the fairway using a wood club. A short iron will be necessary for a successful approach to the green. It is crucial to prevent the ball from landing in the water at all costs.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box - Use a driver and aim at the middle of the fairway. For your second shot, select a short to mid-iron to hit the ball over the lake and approach the green. The green sharply slopes downhill at all sides, a feature of typical desert-style golf courses. Accuracy is undoubtedly a crucial element for achieving success on this hole.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box - Use a short to mid-iron and aim to the green, preventing the ball from veering to the right as there is a large bunker. The pin position is very important for club selection. This particular hole presents a great opportunity to achieve a birdie.

Desert 7

Par: 4 - Index 3/4
  • Black Tee: 430 yards
  • Blue Tee: 401 yards
  • White Tee: 382 yards

Hole 7

DESCRIPTION

Desert 7, a lengthy Par 4 hole, is situated within a stone quarry. Golfers tee off from the elevated teeing area down to the fairway below. It is important to avoid the hazards that border both sides of the fairway, as the second shot requires players to navigate over a cliff to approach the green. A deep canyon awaits any shots that fall short of the green.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box – A slight fade shot will give you a good approach to the green on this dogleg right hole. For your second shot, use a fairway wood or a long iron to reach the green. It's better to hit over the green than to come up short. Using a longer club can make your game easier.

Desert 8

The fairway runs through the desert and leads a short way to the green, crossing a deep, water-filled canyon. The green is positioned on a rocky ledge, making it a tough target for players.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box – Use a fairway wood and aim to the right. For the approach shot, use a short or mid-iron, and remember to use a longer club because the putting green area is elevated and there is an unseen penalty area situated in front of it.

Desert 9

Par: 5 - Index 9/10
  • Black Tee: 590 yards
  • Blue Tee: 575 yards
  • White Tee: 548 yards
  • Red Tee: 446 yards
Hole 9

DESCRIPTION

Finishing the last Par 5 hole on the Desert Course will create a lasting impression of an amazing golf experience. The tee shot must navigate over a rocky desert section to reach the fairway. As players approach the green, the fairway slopes downwards on both sides into desert terrain, with deep grooves at strategic zones. The green is reminiscent of a stage at the Amphitheater, giving players a dramatic finish to an enjoyable round of golf.

PLAYING STRATEGY:

From the tee box – Execute a draw shot and aim to the left side of the fairway to set up for the second shot just in front of the desert area. For those seeking a challenge, consider hitting over the next desert area for a shorter approach shot. The putting green is safeguarded by the desert on the right, so aiming for the left side is a safer choice.
